CARE
Your Kandahar shoes – companions for life.

Storage
In the box, your Kandahar shoes are protected from light and moisture. Use shoe trees or filling material if you will not wear your shoes for an extended period. Store the shoes in summer in a dry, not too warm place.
Salt deposits
Road salt is absorbed into the leather together with moisture and causes white marks when it dries. To remove them gently, moisten the leather with a cloth. Let your Kandahar shoes dry thoroughly afterwards and apply a waterproofing treatment before use.
Lambskin lining
Your Kandahar shoes are lined with natural lambskin, which keeps your feet comfortably warm even on the coldest winter days. Because lambskin absorbs a lot of moisture, you should not wear your shoes in heated rooms for too long. Lambskin is also sensitive to friction; bald spots that result are normal signs of wear.
Moisture and drying
The lining, the insole and all leather parts absorb moisture. This must be completely dried before the next wear. Place your Kandahar shoes in a heated room for this purpose, but never next to heating elements. Hang high-shaft boots with the zipper open.
Suede
The high-quality suede of your Kandahar shoes is largely water-repellent thanks to a special treatment. Nevertheless, we recommend the regular use of waterproofing spray. A refresher spray keeps suede looking good longer and can be easily cleaned with a brush.
Nappa leather and smooth leather
Leather needs nourishment. Use only wax-based polish. You will achieve even better protection by additionally applying waterproofing spray regularly. This also helps reduce the effects of road salt.
Fur care
The low-maintenance outer fur of your Kandahar shoes provides extra warmth and helps your feet breathe. Furs are sensitive to strong friction. Damage caused in this way is not covered by the warranty.
